1880 calories! how come you don’t loose muscle mass! I’ve seen the week 9 results and you ARE getting ripped. GREAT!

    what’s your weight? just curious.

@asmukkar I was like you, if you look on my website I was skinny-fat and wanted to gain lean muscle, but was also fat. The solution is my fatass to badass program as the intense training will build lean muscle in individuals such as yourself while melting fat off. Trust me, I’ve been there before ;)

  6. asmukkar says:

omar, great work. im skinny but at the same time fat if you kno wht i mean. no muscle and a belly. I made the mistake last year of jogging consistently and eating way less. i lost 15 pounds fast but almost none of it was off my belly, but rather mass that i desperately needed. i started eating again and i’m back to normal. should i focus solely on weights and eating a lot to bulk up and THEN lean up, or should i eat maintenence calories, train and do cardio? Im scared of losing good mass again!

@ShahidSalim05 right after workout your muscles are screaming for energy. You wan’t to avoid this muscle breakdown (post workout) and kick start anabolic (muscle building) ASAP. To do this you need to give your body what it wants in the fastest means possible. Scientifically speaking that means replenishing lost glycogen in the liver. Simple carbs (sugar) works. This can be gatorade, banana, chocolate, white bread, etc. Depending on how clean you want to be.

Hey Omar, are you familiar with Gary Taube’s book, “Good Calories, Bad Calories”? It’s not a diet book. It’s a look at the science that led the majority of the health community to believe that low-fat diets are the key to weight loss. It’s very eye-opening and I highly recommend reading it. Or at least check out some of his lectures here on youtube.

  23. einnanil1 says:

I forgot to say that the kcal requirement depends on how tall you are, your weight, and your activity level. For an adult, the average kcal is around 2000-2500 kcal which is why the food labels use 2000 kcal.

  24. einnanil1 says:

Not at all. If you cut out 500 kcals a day and you multiply that by 7 days, that would cause you to lose 1 lb a week. HOWEVER, this level of kcal is EXTREMELY dangerous. Your body needs a certain amount of kcals in order to function. If you don’t have that amount of kcals, you will be starving your body and killing yourself slowly. Please converse with a dietitian if you plan to “diet”.
Also, exercise can help get rid of kcals so restriction isn’t the only way to lose weight. Hope this helps!

  25. HannahRue6 says:

Help me out here—if I regularly ate 1000cals a day, I could cut them down to 500, and loose 2lbs in a week?

  26. einnanil1 says:

Right now your BMI is currently 19.7. That’s within healthy BMI range (18.5-24.9). I would say that you would not need to lose weight. If you are a female, your body is basically going to have abdominal fat (biological reason to sustain pregnancy). That’s why you almost never see females going around with six packs unless they exercise very very hard.
If you would still like to lose weight, I would discuss this with a registered dietitian. They really know their stuff!
    Hope that helps?

  27. kalkunkage1 says:

ok now im 168cm hight and my weight is 55,5 kg i got some belly fat so lets say im going to do what you are saying how much would i then loose ca.?

  28. einnanil1 says:

It’s not an exact science but 3500 Calories is in one pound. So if you don’t eat 3500 kcals, you will lose one pound. It is extremely dangerous to do it all at once. It is best if you do it gradually. So if you cut out 500 kcals in a day for 7 days a week (3500 kcals), you would lose a lb a week.

  29. einnanil1 says:

1-2 lbs a week. It is a safe amount of weight to lose as well as easier to maintain. Please consult with a Registered Dietitian to see if the diet you are thinking about embarking on is safe.
