    My philosophy is eat from all five food groups, occasional snack, exercise a bit every day. I seem fine. :]

    It’s so hard not to slip back into old eating disorder habits you know? It’s just a day by day process :/

  4. joycapulet says:

    how long did it take you to lose the weight?

  5. VivaVitaVie says:

    I totally agree! Living your life is the most important–eat healthy, but don’t worry too much!!

    @bribaybayx3 My mom tried to keep me away from junk food; she fed my low sodium crackers and called them “cookies.” One day my grama gave me regular salted crackers and I was like “GRAMA THESE ARE THE BEST COOKIES EVER!” She thought my mom was crazy. I’m not sure how much it benefited me. On the one hand, I’m thin now, but during middle and high school I used to binge (and sometimes even steal) junk food at my friends’ houses all the time because I could never get it at home. Not healthy!

    It’s true so many of us focus too much on losing weight, and then we focus too much on food, and become obsessed with it, and sometimes obsessed with exercise, and it becomes a vicious unhealthy cycle. Good word.

    @omgilikejelly
    I said to myself that if i ever met an ex or a person from school or anyone, i would be able to hold my head up high and not feel like that again!!! And i haven’t, that was my determination!

  14. 666Maivs says:

    @omgilikejelly
    i went out on a night out with friends and didn’t plan on going out, so was dressed in tracksuit pants and top to the local pub. When i saw this fella that i thought was my ex(now i had no makeup on, nor i wasn’t dressed up) my heart sank! As you can imagine, i didn’t feel one bit sexy. I was shamed!!!! I managed to catch up with the fella later on that night, which turned out not to be my ex but a mate from col, but i vowed never to feel so low, ugly or fat ever again!

    I love exercising.. I beleive it’s key to leading a long healthy life.. But i do relaxing exercise that I really enjoy like, yoga, surfing, jogging. Mainly I focus on getting toned and healthy rather thatn losing weight and being thin.

    everyone wishes they were skinnier but do we really need to be? excercising really pays off and doing sport is fun so if you do that and eat fairly well you should be a.ok!

    One of the nurse’s at work is actually on a cleansing diet and it restricts her from eating a lot of Carbs, she is strong in keeping it up. You have to be very determined, will and able to maintain a good health.And I agree with mmoss3.

  23. Saluff says:

    This advice is what I’ve been doing for about a year and I’m at a very natural healthy weight for my body now. It helped me lose 40 pounds. However, this advice won’t get you to the 00 size everyone expects us to be, which is why I get down on myself a lot.

  24. katiexbohxbatie says:

    In America, there’s a trend in which extremely fat people are called “curvy.” It’s just as bad as telling girls who are normal that they’re fat. Either way, you are promoting an unhealthy lifestyle.

    Here’s my diet for America: Don’t eat crap. Or if you do decide to eat crap, only eat it once in a while. If you don’t know if you’re eating crap or not, YOU ARE. Starving yourself is unhealthy. Being overweight is unhealthy. The end.

  25. MsFashinista says:

    LOL i count calories all the time and it never stresses me out. I do indulge once in a while but I don’t pig out. When I started my whole weight loss journey I was counting calories like crazy but over time I remembered certain foods and their calorie level. I just add it in my head as I go throughout the day.
    Whenever I go to a restaurant I usually pick something healthy and eat half of the dish so that way I know I am not eating too much…
    Once or twice a month I will have cake or something
