@patxict What are you talking about? Even if you dropped 40 lbs from the Maverick the Obsession would still out fly it. Even the K2 beginner glider will out fly it. The Maverick is a nice wing but it just doesn’t have the performance of these other high end gliders.

@Galvoflysoz The Obsession was the ultimate for several years. Then the K2 came along and matched its glide performance but with better handling, waaay better safety, waaaaay easier to launch, waterproof, auto stable… not even close, the K2 takes it all the way. The Obsession is really slick, I like the colors better too but the K2 is the way to go right now.
Dell How does the Cima compare to the Obsession? The obsession Looks way kewler too!!! Love the U-Turn graphics. Cimas a bit well Dull but looks impressive in it’s handling and safety. Would be nice to know the differences Between U-turn same rating as Cima?

I was on the Obsession as I actually weigh just a little more than he does so I wanted to ensure the advantage was to the Maverick. It still lost.
We’ve done that in all previous tests and it made zero difference in the result. We didn’t have time to do it this time but I’m 100% positive the results would have been the same. Straight line side by side at trim speed is pretty much what you see is what you get no matter how you look at it.
Im not accusing you of faking the test, I just mentioned the possiblity of the difference being the pilot. Pilots should switch thier equipment and do the same test.

Identical gear, identical pilot weight. Side by side the whole way on video. I’m also the US importer for both brands and have no reason to fake the test. I’ll be happy to sell you either glider. The truth is the truth though. It’s nice to hear it from at least somebody:). That Obsession just rocks. If I find something better then I’ll post that video as well.
Maybe the differnece is skill level. Pilots should switch gear
