Time for people to wake up! The WHITE fillings are not good for you at all. They contain substances known to cause cancer. The silver fillings are proven to be safer, but still people are fooled by dentist who want to make more money. They will do so becouse white fillings are more expensive, and the brake more often, meaning you will have to go back. Your fillings gets bigger each time you go, and you will need expensive crowns. @smellsogoody you’re basing that on what? it doesn’t cause decay, it decreases incidence of decay. fluorosis isn’t decay and is unlikely to occur anyway and is a worthwhile risk for the benefits fluoride gives you. give me a citation of one study that shows it causes decay.

@smellsogoody doesn’t all toothpaste have fluoride? You mustn’t drink or eat 1 hour after fluoride because it will rub it off the teeth. Fluoride is used to help the enamle on your teeth, like calcium helps bone growth and developement. Fluoride is NOT toxic by any means. We use it everyday and little children use it. For years people have used it with no side affects. I think maybe your confusing Flouride with Mercury. (i don’t mean to be rude)

I got curious when my sons dentist told me not to let him drink anything for an hour after she gave him fluoride.She told me after I questioned her about it and said I could have been refused it.(UGH!!) And no more silver fillings for my family! I’ve dumped toxic toothpaste with fluoride,SLS etc… hand wash,facial,hair products and more.Now my skin is healthy,my gums look healthy.Everything I buy now must be 100% natural.

@SIRINTEGRA I’ve had numerous mercury fillings for 30 years plus. I’m 44 and the only problem I know of is that I’m deaf in one ear but probably have been since birth. I wish they weren’t in my mouth but they are. Difficult to believe they are still using those fillings…I assumed they had quit.

Zeolite powder can be bought on eBay. The best solution though, is to remove the amalgam fillings all together! A word of caution: Be sure to have this done SAFELY (!!)
If not your health will be worse off as a lot of mercury vapor escapes during the removal (drilling) process.

There are healthier alternatives to dental amalgam such as composite resin (white) fillings, porcelain, and glass ionomers. Gold and other metals such as titanium are not a good alternative as they produce electrical currents within your mouth.
….. Just great! I just got a silver filling yesterday and the dentist didn’t inform me about the health risks. That is my very first filling.
One question though guys, is 1 new silver filling really bad for me because of the mercury vapor?
