On October 3 2007, Direct-MS (www.direct-ms.org ), sponsored a public presentation by Dr. Loren Cordain of Colorado State University on the topic of “The Paleo Diet and Multiple Sclerosis” (en français “Le régime Paléolithique et la Sclérose en plaques”). Dr Cordain is a leading researcher in the field of the roles that various nutritional factors play in chronic diseases such as MS. A webcast of Dr Cordain’s presentation is on the website www.direct-ms.org and I invite you to watch it in the comfort of your home (High resolution slides). I also recommend going to Dr Cordain’s websites at WWW.THEPALEODIET.COM and http as They contain a wealth of valuable information on nutrition and health. A good and clear summary of the presentation done by Ashton Embry can be found at the following address: www.msrc.co.uk There is also a very interesting interview with Dr Loren Cordain by Robert Crayhon: chetday.com A great 45 minutes audio interview with Dr. Cordain: www.leannesslifestyle.com A list of all the publications related to Dr. Cordain’s work: unjobs.org Origins and evolutions of the western diet:Health implications for the 21st Century www.visioninstitute.optometry.net Implementing of the paleo diet www.visioninstitute.optometry.net Hyperinsulinemic diseases of civilisation: more than just the metabolic syndrome www.visioninstitute.optometry.net An evolutionary analysis of the etiology and pathogenesis of juvenile onset myopia www.visioninstitute.optometry.net

if I don’t eat fatty meat, I soon crave chocolate or ice/cream

  2. Catherine8raw says:

@Yoshi5020 In winter/age age, meat would of been very fatty. Without fat, where will the energy come from? I do not agree with grain fed animals though. Is fat very acidic or is it protein that is very acidic?

  3. SCROGY says:

@Yoshi5020 Word. I recall reading that human babies are most drawn to the taste of bone marrow over any other food, even sweet fruit.

    Im trying this diet now…

  6. roargathor says:

Fatty as in, the omega 3/6 ratio. Modern domesticated animals are fed an un-natural diet of grains, that drastically increases the omega 6 fatty acid content. Because of this imbalence, wild meat is much healthier.

    bravo!

Indeed. Hear, hear to Dr. WESTON PRICE. Caint have BABIES without ample FAT in the Diet. SUGAR or FAT is the difference between burning Dirty fuel or Clean Fuel (talk about Energy Conservation and/or Alternative Fuels)! Sugar KILLS cells; Fat PRODUCES cells.

ABC News reports on how Multiple Sclerosis was effectively treated by a new acoustic medical device. The technology, Medsonix also has a profound beneficial effect on a wide range of medical disorders and is FDA registered as a Class One Medical Device, the safest classification possible. … Look it up here on youtube.

I agree with you. Fat is essential for proper hormone production. There is a lot of good research that dissassociates natural fats from HT dz. Thanks for posting

  12. oiyabastard says:

agreed but they used that fat for energy and we ate it infrequently and busted ass thoughout the week running around lookin for more fat meat and some delicious berries

  13. mammananny says:

This is as boring as is humanly possible, it is however worth consideration for MS patients.(but please find another way to present the info.!)

  14. Yoshi5020 says:

The guy is on the right track, but still too tainted by the bogus campaign against saturated fat and cholesterol. Just because fat doesn’t suit our modern tastes doesn’t mean we should ignore historical evidence, or our biochemistry for that matter. We were designed to burn fat for fuel, not carbs (or to a lesser extend, protein). That’s why our bodies primarily store fuel as fat, and only a tiny little as carbs in our livers.

  15. Yoshi5020 says:

Fatty meats? “No one would have touched them in a stone age setting”?? Weston Price found almost unanimously in the native cultures he studied that FATTY meats, or even JUST the fat, was the most prized. Anyone ever hear of “slaughtering the fatted calf”? Any Native American could tell you that eating just the lean meat will lead to nausea and disease- they called it “Rabbit’s disease”. Breaking bones and eating the marrow and brains is what provided fuel for our big brains.
