    this is a Myth!! we do not need that much fiber! We need plenty fats!! When u consume loads of fiber your bowel go lazy! Read the Barry Groves books and check his wesite!!

    @BellaaMarlene Yes I had the same experience but high fiber removes toxins from your body and is good for the heart and high blood pressure. When I was in my early 20′s I had no problem ingesting 20-30 gms of fiber a day; infact it helped clear my system out faster than normal, but now in my early 30′s Fiber gets me bloated ,gassy and slows my digestion. I’m in a dilemna, I try eating salads , but soluble fiber definately gives me a lot less gass than insoluble fiber.

    i recently increased fiber intake by a pretty high number…there’s a decent amount of gas coming out the back door to say the least…anyone know how long my body will take to adjust?

    ok & THE ATKINS DIET IS SHIT too. anyone who tells you to eat tons of meat & says that fruit is bad is a liar & i run away

    i refuse to give up fruit….no way never…but seriously, eating too much fibre is bad & ruins your digestion, im serious & it happened to me. its really & will give you GAS…lots of it. my mom is a high fibre freak & she has gas all the time….its not pretty either

    high fiber will make you bloated & gassy, & have incredibly slow digestion & malabsorption.

    i know fro experience, although ive always had a normal weight, my high fibre dinners made me ridiculosly bloated & gassy for hours, & i have acid reflux

    SAY NO to high fibre. at least avoid all those grains & crap b/c the bulk in fibre will clog your intestines & prevent nutrient absorption

    Atkins diet freaks often drop fruit and grains.

    They forget that not eating carbs makes you depressed and the diet fails as a result.

    The only way to lose weight is to speed up your motabolism by constantly eating small meals, up to 7 a day. Included in this, should be small portions of both grains and fruit.

    i know some of you may not like it, but weetabix is a pretty good high fibre option for breakfast. You don’t have to eat it every day(you’ll get sick of it) but you guys should try it. I eat this in the morning plus i use benefiber too.
