@kittyasuka Your talking about breast milk that humans are supposed to drink about the first year of their life only? Do you live on breast-milk?
okay let me fill in the holes..
metabolism: drink green tea
nails growing slower, hair falling out, etc: take one-a-day daily vitamins
about 8 months ago i went on a low calorie diet and lost 20 lbs in 4-5 weeks. once i started eating more calories after losing the weight i did not gain any weight.
Thank you for the truth.
low calorie only works if you eat quality food i mean youll be starving if you only have a slice of pizza and a shake sure its 1000 caloories but wont fill you up
Hello, I have found this website where you can find information about why most of diets and starving doesn’t work!
Explore it just type beginning burnthatfatnow.info
Those of you commenting. There are far too many variables involved for you to know what you’re talking about or have an opinion of your own when you are not an expert yourself. So stop fooling yourself. Learn to use your reasoning processes. I hate when people tell me “facts” about anything when 80% of that fact is their own opinion and the other 20% is “fact” that they misunderstood or didn’t know how to sift the “crap” to get the “good stuff”. I could name 1000 examples. Be smart. Period.
@kittyasuka Zoologically speaking, there aren’t a lot of calories in breast milk. This is because human milk is relatively low in fat. It’s also low in protein.
Human milk contains 0.8% to 0.9% protein, 4.5% fat, 7.1% carbohydrates and 0.2% ash (minerals
@cripstyl3r hence that is ridiculous! carbs are the best fuel, and hi protein can kill you.
I have started reading the book good calories bad calories and I find it confusing and contradictory. I have to re-read chapters 2 and 3 times to sort of make sense of it. But I will keep plugging away at it.
Thanks Sean for introducing me to sanity.
i’m really glad i’ve watched this. it was really helpful for me. thankyou.
Look at Dr. Garnder of Stanfords studies. Some people respond well to low fat diets. However, low fat is almost always the worst for blood lipids. When fats a limited to the extent that the ornish and other diets limit them the body doesn’t get enough good fats. 6 of one half a dozen of the other. Its just as bad if not worse for your heart to not have enough good fats in your diet as it is too have too much bad fat.
I found low carb fantastic, still on it after a year and easy to do now. Anytime I’ve tripped up for a few days, just go back and no weight gain. Weight plummeted from 255 to 157, and regulates itself…and I eat obscene amounts of meat cheese etc., comparative to normal diets. I love it, and it works. However, I acknowledge it’s probably not for everyone. OH, and cholesterol is down! LOL
@disneyrockzz1995
Do it for another 12 weeks. I guarantee you that you’ll go NUTS and EAT EVERYTHING IN SIGHT for another 2 weeks after you FAIL. No professional athlete, bodybuilder, or individual successful at weight loss will run a starvation diet.
It’s better to eat 6 high protein meals with a mix of whole grains, veggies, and good fats from nuts, olive oil, and fish, and maintain a 500 calorie deficit. The average 160 lb individual should eat no LESS than 1,900 calories a day.
You are wrong, I’ve been on a low calorie low fat diet for 2 weeks now and have lost half a stone (8 pounds I think) oh and I’ve been eating 1000 calories and about 10-15 grams of fat, and one hour excersie atleast 4 times a week (in which I mostly lose around 400 calories)
My sister went on a low card diet and high protein diet and has had great results. She hasn’t aimed for high fat she just eats the things that don’t have a lot of carbs! She is able to eat the things she likes like meat just reduce the portions a bit. She even gave me her diet plan which basically revolved around low fat meat. She’s lost about 30 pounds over 5 months! Not a lot but she is able to maintain this diet with no negative effects and very very rarely binge eats
Sean, I think you have GREAT points in this video. But I do just have a general question for you. What about weight loss surgery and restrictive diets? Is that stupid or successful? I am days away from getting lap band surgery…what would you suggest we bandsters eat in order to maintain caloric intake but lose weight? Thank you Sean! Love and appreciate your work! If you could do a video about WLS that would be INCREDIBLE! Thank you! =] Becca
High fat, high protein is the epicenter of the american diet. Result: diabetes, hypertension, cancer.
Here are some scientists and doctors who actually cure disease based on dietary changes:
McDougall, Colin Campbel, Neal Barnard, Dean Ornish etc
The fat you eat is the fat you wear.
Peace!
Are calories then not the issue What is the issue?
I can comment on both the low fat, low calorie diet, and the low carb diet from experience. First, of course, as I bought into the low calorie low fat thing, which is in line with what everyone “knows,” I tried that. I certainly lost weight, but I lost muscle as well as fat. I was weaker, and I was cold all the time. And I was HUNGRY all the time, as well. I hated that.
Then I tried the low carb diet. Fat melted off effortlessly, muscle stayed, I was never hungry, and I wasn’t cold. Bliss
Gary Taubes is what Galileo was to Copernicus. He has basically taken the discovery of scientists prior to him, who stated that insulin causes fat accumulation, and has made that ignored information known to the masses, and for his generosity, he is experiencing a backlash from those who uphold the prevailing orthodoxy of calories in vs. calories out. I guarantee you, that a generation from now, Taubes will be revered as a science revolutionary along with Atkins, Yudkin, and Lustig.
Good calories, bad calories is not a reliable source. the guy who wrote it is no picture of health himself
@clov56 agreed. I wanna take it even further though. don’t worry about macronutrients! just eat what makes you feel good and exersize and when losing weight just eat less. even if you ate snickers all day you’d still lose weight if you ate less. and people give me all this crap about insuline, but if you work out intensly, you will not become insuline resistant! it’s still about diet, cardio and lifting weights to firm up your body. and btw most weight lost on high protein and fat diet is water
all you need is 100g carbs 250g protein and veg 6 times a day every 2 to3 hours plus 2 t 4 letres of water SIPT through out the day and EXERSISE…..and 1 more thing THRO YOUR SCALES IN THE TRASH and go buy mesurements coz scales are the most soul destroying things on this planet
hey check out my channel 4 tips, nutrition, gameplay, and more and subscribe
I agree with a lot about what you said with the <1500 calorie diet not working however stating at the end that you can eat high fat/high protein/ low carb and have as many calories as you want is incorrect.
All weight loss/gain is based upon intake of calories, not upon macronutrients.
